Dare To Care: Writing for Teens

An in-depth analysis of how to effectively write for teens, analyze youth markets, learn what editors want, and tackle tough topics. This is an 8 week, fully mentored course with extensive assignments, communication and critiques from author and instructor, Laura Farrar. This course is available for purchase at any time--you choose when your consecutive eight weeks begin. Purchasing this course will give you access to course discussion boards, weekly appointments and various means of communication with a published author. There is weekly graded homework and a final project in each course, in addition to reading suggestions and enrichment activities. At the end of the course, if you pass the course with a letter grade of A, B, or C, you will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement.

1. Researching & analyzing teen markets.

2. Building relationships with editors and using theme lists/current needs to your advantage.

3. Using technology to further expand your ministry and career.

Launching Your Writing Journey: an overview course for young writers 

Recommended for ages 10-25, this course will provide a safe place to explore creativity and help young writers learn about the writing craft, develop their unique skills, and pursue publication while being mentored by an experienced writer.  This is an 8 week, fully mentored course with extensive assignments, communication and critiques from author and instructor, Laura Farrar. This course is available for purchase at any time--you choose when your consecutive eight weeks begin. 2. The creative process, art of ideas, journaling and brainstorming.
